Red Dead Redemption Funny Red Dead Redemption Glitch Out of Map
Games developed by Rockstar are known to be great fun, however, they are not flawless. Every now and then, players will be going about their business in-game only to find that NPCs, animals, or even the terrain itself are acting unusually.
These are just a few of the telltale signs that a glitch is occurring, and what's more, these are often the less severe bugs. While such unexpected happenings can be awkward and potentially game-breaking for players ofRed Dead Redemption 2, they can also be hilarious in a crazy kind of way.
10 Spinning In A Saddle
Usually, spinning around in one's saddle involves moving more than one's torso and certainly does not allow for Arthur Morgan's upper half to do multiple 360 spins. This horrifying yet hilarious glitch happens when the player is seated atop their steed and tries to adjust their bridle.
Normally, this would cause the player's horse to begin trotting, but sometimes the momentum is...misdirected, to put it simply. While this contortionist act has no impact on gameplay, it is still quite alarming to behold, especially when not expecting it.
9 Ol' Bug-Eyes
The most common kinds of glitches inRDR2 are the graphical ones where the NPCs, animals, or the landscape just don't load properly. A particularly noticeable recurring glitch is when the eyes of some townspeople seem to want to leave their host's skull.
While there are likely fascinating books of the era that warrant great ocular interest, it's undeniable that such occurrences are due to an NPC's facial organs being slightly out of sync with their body.
8 The Invisible Man
Speaking of bodily glitches, this next one is more the stuff of horror movies than comedic ones. On rare occasions, Arthur Morgan's skin texture will not load, but the rest of him will. If all of his physical parts, including his teeth and hair, went invisible as well, it would not be nearly so terrifying.
However,Red Dead Redemption 2 simply doesn't roll like that and sometimes gives Mr. Morgan the no-skin treatment due to the game improperly loading assets.
7 The Dangers Of Taking A Bath
Taking a hot bath is supposed to loosen up the muscles, but not like this...never like this. This is yet another body-horror glitch that can happen to the corpus of the ever-susceptible Arthur Morgan, but this one is localized to the bathroom.
Sometimes, when a player takes an assisted bath at a hotel (solo baths don't seem to do this glitch), Arthur's body will freak out upon exiting the water to disturbing results. This is surely yet another example of the game being unable to load the assets of a person properly when switching scenes.
6 A Long, Cold Walk
There are two kinds of cutscenes: ones that use pre-rendered graphics and those that use in-game graphics. The latter kind can sometimes be manipulated by players through various means. One comical example of this is when Arthur and the Van Der Linde gang are heading down a snowy mountain trail in search of a new camp when the player gets off their horse immediately before a cutscene.
Usually, gamers are treated to a short series of shots where Morgan and company are riding their horses through the snow, however, if one gets off their horse just before this cutscene plays, Arthur gets forced to run the whole way while his comrades gallop past him for an unexpectedly funny traveling montage.
5 Infinite Money
Players seeking quick and easy ways to make huge amounts of money are capable of performing a surprising number of duplication glitches inRed Dead Redemption 2, with the gold bar one being arguably the most efficient.
To do this glitch, players will need to rapidly save and load while picking up a gold bar to both get the loot into one's inventory while resetting the game so that the engine thinks that the gold bar has not been picked up. This works because the gold bar goes into one's inventory quicker than it leaves the container, and this is what the swift saving and loading are taking advantage of for huge gains.
4 Spontaneous Combustion
Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to a glitch with no discernable cause to be traced or any hints as to how or why the game decided to initiate certain occurrences. As one is trotting along a dirt path astride their steed, it is possible that their mount will randomly throw them off before immediately catching fire for no visible reason.
Initially, the flames are invisible, however, as they spread, the mysterious immolation will become visible, though will still lack a genuine cause. To date, no one knows why this happens, or even how it occurs, which is probably the scariest aspect of this glitch.
3 Crash Landing
Speaking of unexplained horse-related events, spontaneously energetic situations apparently apply to carriages as well. If a player crashes one into anything and gets off, it is sometimes possible for that carriage, and the unfortunate horses attached to it, to get launched high into the air.
It is possible that this is simply the game misinterpreting the kinetic energy let loose by the crash, however, there is nothing certain about these happenings as they have not been explained by players or developers; they're just part of the game.
2 Overlapping NPCs
There's no denying that some NPCs simply lack refined AI, however, there isn't really an excuse for multiple individuals taking up the same physical space. In a game as expansive and open asRDR2, there are so many places that any given NPC can be that seeing two of them clipping into one other is rather ridiculous.
Especially since there's another perfectly good seat across the table. Though, sometimes things just don't register in the given timeframe, like if two NPCs decide they both want to sit in a chair at the same time, which results in them getting closer than what should normally be possible.
1 Out Of This World
In one of the most inconvenient kinds of glitches, players can possibly fall out of the game's world by simply being unlucky. There aren't really too many parts of the map where one can just fall through the ground, however, when it happens, players are greeted with a unique view of what the old west looks like from underground.
There isn't really a way to avoid this when such a thing occurs, so buckle up and enjoy the trip to the shadow realm before one gets respawned back into the game's map.
