Reinvention Of The Wheel? - Yanko Design
Perhaps, but who am I to debate with designers. I get this uncanny feeling that there is a deluge of cycle concepts floating around, so if you go bombarded by one besides many concepts, please deport with us. And what have we hither; an urban cycle that can be toned down to salvage space when not in apply. Why? Urbanites don't take spacious homes, and those who do…they don't demand bikes, they utilise shiny cars. The design consists of 2 systems: Bicycle folding system & Cycle Structure System.
Eco // 07 – Compactable Urban Cycle
Bike folding arrangement
The Wheel is equanimous of half dozen modules, each one has a double pin in the joints, this allows the wheel to fold and go smaller, the spokes are contained in the inner construction of the wheel, when you unfold the system, the spokes rotate to the center of the machinery where information technology attaches to the middle of the wheel.
Bicycle Structure System
The double triangle structure is composed of expandable modules, each one collapses to a smaller dimension then this modules aligns with the rotation of the axis in the articulation of the structure. A special Ten aligns all the modules to their position.
